This window allows you to simultaneously modify Song details in multiple fields in browsed Song lists. Working in the Browse window, you prepare a list of Songs to change, then click the Multi-Change tab to access this window. For example, a user might wish to add Theme details to a series of Songs, or to change coding for a group of Songs.
Changes assigned on the left side of the window are applied to the entire database; changes assigned on the right side of the window are station-specific.
TIP: GSelector offers configurable security access to different areas in the Song window. See the notes on Security Access in the Song Window topic.
The window opens to the default Song tab, which shows all the Song window fields that can be changed for the selected Songs. Any element can be changed for the selected Songs by first selecting that element or code, then entering the desired value. For more details, see the list of attributes and codes here. To access the Additional fields Multi Song Changer window, click the Additional tab. The Audio Analysis tab can be used to do an audio analysis of all the selected songs. A further tab, the Multi Station tab, allows you to assign Attributes to, and activate Songs in this browse list, for any Station

The number of Songs in the Browsed list is shown next to the Changer Edit controls. This shows the total number of Songs selected. If you have not browsed a list in the Browse window, the entire station Song library is available to change.
You specify changes to your Song list by selecting the fields to change with that field's edit control . Click on the edit control to cycle through the modes. Each control has two or three modes, depending on the field you are editing.
All fields in the changer window that allow editing initially display the changer control in neutral. This means that no changes will be applied to values for that field. The field is inactive in the changer window.
When working with Format Parent and Child Station any Attributes that are set as Inherited in the Parent station are disabled in the Child Station Multi Station Changer window. This is indicated by a lighter shade of gray. See the notes on Child Stations in this topic.
To select a field, click on that field's edit control to activate and enable that field for editing. The changes that you apply to the activated field will be applied to all Songs in your Song list.
Some fields allow you to click a second time, to delete or inactivate field information. When you work with a field with a drop-down list, you can also specify that you will delete <all> codes or values from the Songs in your Song list.
For full details on every field you can work with in the changer, scroll down in this topic.
When you make a setting change to any field, the Save button is activated. Click Save to apply the changes you have called for in this window, Clear to undo the changes in the window without saving, and Delete to completely delete all Songs in the selected Song browse.
NOTE: When you first access this window, the Delete button is active, allowing you to delete the selected Song List. When you click the Delete Button, GSelector prompts you to deactivate the selected Songs rather than delete them, in the usual way. Once an Attribute is selected to add or delete, the Delete button is deactivated, and the Change button is activated.
An additional button is displayed at the right of the Change-Clear buttons when one or more GSelector stations are associated with NexGen stations, and the Enable box in the Auto Synchronization pane is checked in the NexGen Interface window. Under these conditions, this button allows the user to synchronize the Song or Song List in this window with the same Song or Songs in the interfaced NexGen database. For more details, see the notes on Manual Synchronization in the NexGen Integration topic. The user will receive a warning when songs are changed using the Multi Song Changer, if the station is integrated with NexGen.
If the station is integrated with Zetta, the user will receive a warning when songs are changed using the Multi Song Changer.
Following is a list of fields in which you can modify data. You can apply changes in one or more fields. Changes are applied to your Song list when you click the Change button.

Just as in the Add/Edit Song windows, the Version, Artist, Album,_#xA0;Song Group and Complete Work Name fields (as well as, when enabled, the Film Name field) have an Add button to enter a New Artist Name, New Album Title, or New Version Name, New Complete Work Name and a drop down arrow to select an existing Artist Name, Album Title, Version Name or Complete Work Name. The Complete Work when enabled shows a checkbox like the Add/Edit Song windows. The Song Group option allows the user to select an existing song group or open the Song Group window.
For more details on using these controls, see the Entering New Titles and Selecting Titles or Artists notes in the Add and Edit Song windows topic. Information you enter here will be applied to all selected Songs.
In the Song Attributes and Participants pane, you can Add information only. When working in this pane, you add Attributes and Participants in the same way as you do in the Song Coding window.
Use the Changer to assign or delete a Media value to all selected Songs. Select the field by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data, enter the desired value and click the Change button.
NOTE: These fields, with the Exception of External, are not displayed when GSelector is integrated with NexGen. This data is shared with NexGen, and the Multi Song Changer works on GSelector fields only.
Use the Changer to assign or delete an ID value to all selected Songs. This is particularly useful when using the ID field as an address field for CDs or other storage media. Select the field by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data, enter the desired value and click the Change button.
Use the Changer to assign to the same Runtime value to all selected Songs, or to remove Runtime figures from the selected Songs, leaving a value of 0:00. Select the fields by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data, enter the desired value and click the Change button.
Use the Changer to assign the same Intro 1 2 and 3 value to all selected Songs, or to remove Intro values from the selected Songs. Select the fields by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data,(see the Edit controls notes for details), enter the desired values and click the Change button.
NOTE: Durations in the Runtime and Intro fields can be entered in two ways: by typing a value such as 4:23, or by simply typing 423. Where a Runtime or Intro is longer than ten minutes, typing 1141 or 11:41 , for example, will enter the same time value in this field.
Use the Changer to assign or delete the same Opening and Ending codes to all selected Songs. Select the fields by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data, enter the desired values and click the Change button.
Use the Changer to assign the same Hook Start and Hook End values to all selected Songs, or to remove all Values form these fields in the selected Song. Select the fields by specifying whether you are adding or deleting data, (see the Edit controls notes for details), enter the desired values, and click the Change button.
Early NTP is the Early Next to Play position in the song. This is the value of the Early Segue marker for the asset and is used for Link/Song Chains in the automation system when integrated. When GSelector is integrated with Zetta this value is sent from Zetta to GSelector to help determine the air time of the events.
Use the Changer to set the same BPM In/Overall/Out for the selected songs. The BPM In is the Beats Per Minute at the beginning of the song. The BPM Overall is the average Beats Per Minute of the entire song. The BPM Out is the Beats Per Minute of the end of the song. The BPM fields can be set manually by entering the value into the field, using the Beats Per Minute Calculator or by using the Audio Analysis tool.
Apply the Changer Control to this field to either assign or remove External Audio status to all selected Songs. When a Song has External status assigned, Audio for the Song will be played from outside your assigned sequencer system. This feature was designed for use with Zetta, but can be used with any suitably configured system.
Use the Changer to assign Active or Inactive status to all selected Songs. Select the field by specifying whether you are activating or deactivating Songs, (see the Edit controls notes for details), and click the Change button. When working in the Multi Song Changer, if an inactive Song is activated, it is assigned the Default Category where this exists. Where no Default Category has been assigned, inactive Songs are activated to the top Category in the Categories window. Changing Multiple Songs to active or inactive in GSelector will also change the active status of the songs in Zetta when GSelector is interfaced with Zetta. See also the notes on Deleting or Deactivating Songs/Links.
Use the Changer to assign the same Category to all selected Songs. Select the field, click the drop-down arrow to select the Category, enter the desired values and click the Change button.
Note: When the category of a song/link is changed, daypart bans will be preserved but the daypart shifts resets to 0. Given that the daypart shifts are relative to the category, they need to be reset when the category changes.
Use the Changer to assign a single Packet to all selected Songs, or remove all Packet information, or a selected Packet, from all selected Songs. You can also create a Packet and assign the new Packet to all Songs. For details see creating packets in the Packets topic.
