This window hosts the GSelector Audio Analysis tool. This tool is available for Songs and Links in the Audio Analysis tab of the selected Library. The Audio Analysis tool analyzes the audio file for any supported file format for the selected Song/Link. There are three panes in the window, the Maps Pane, an Edit Attributes pane and an Attributes pane. The values that are generated here in the Analysis process can be edited before being saved back to the Song or Link.
See the Multi Song Changer Audio Analysis and Multi Link Changer Audio Analysis to analyze multiple songs/links.
Click the Song tab in Library or Link tab in Linker Library, select a song/link to analyze and finally select the Audio Analysis tab. Click the Analyze button to analyze the audio.

The Navigation tools and toolbar are common to all Song tab and Linker tab windows. For details, see the toolbar and toolbar functions sections in the Song Window topic.
The Media ID, Category and Title information for the selected Asset is displayed next to the toolbar. The Song Audio Analysis tab will also display the Artist in this field.
This field displays the filename and path. You cannot edit this field in the Audio Analysis tab. Filename details can be manually entered in the main Song or Link window Filename field. GSelector supports MP3, MP3, wma and wav file formats.
NOTE: If there is no valid file name present, GSelector will flash a warning icon next to this field.
The Maps pane, on the left side of the window, holds data for BPM In, BPM Overall and BPM Out derived by the Audio Analysis process for the selected song. The Audio Analysis tool analyzes the selected audio file and displays the results in the MAPS pane fields with a Default BPM value and an Alternate BPM value. Generally, the analysis tool determines a BPM value with complete accuracy. Where, however, any ambiguity exists, the Audio Analysis tool allows the user to review and edit these values in the Edit pane or in the Song/link window.
After analysis, the data from the analysis copied to the equivalent fields in the Edit Pane. Most of the fields in this pane can be manually edited.
TIP: Attribute values assigned by programmers in GSelector are very much a matter of subjective opinion. So the values that are derived automatically by the Analysis process can be edited if they do not match the intended values of the station.
At the far right of the Audio Analysis window are the Attribute results for the analysis. Texture Open and Texture Close values, Intro 1, Intro 2 and Intro 3 values where multiple values exist, Opening and Ending values, an overall Energy value for the asset, and finally, Runtime, Trim Start and Trim End values. If the audio has not yet been Analyzed, the only value displayed is the Runtime value.
Note: Audio Analysis uses a nine-point scale, the tool will then convert value to the five-point GSelector scale for Energy, Texture Open and Texture Close.
Click this button to Analyze or re-Analyze the Audio for the selected song/link. This button is only active with a supported File Format.
Pressing the CTRL+F will open the Find option allowing the user to do a "Smart Filter" find. The Finder will search for results as they are typed. To open the Find option click the Audio Analysis results pane and press the CTRL+F keys on the keyboard.
CTRL+F - Invokes the Find Panel.
ESC - Clears the search box. If the search box is empty, pressing ESC closes the Find Panel.
DOWN ARROW - Moves focus from the Find Panel to the grid's data area.
Using Analysis: the Process described
While the GSelector Audio Player can play any common file format, GSelector supports the linear wav file format exclusively for analysis purposes. When analyzing other file formats, GSelector will automatically create a temporary wav file from MP2, MP3 or WMA files, for analysis purposes. This file is deleted after analysis.
This process is set up by enabling the AFC (Audio File Converter) when installing or initializing GSelector. If AFC is already installed on the computer the Install AFC option will not be visible.
Click the Save Button in this window's toolbar to save the edited information to the asset.
