Link window Additional Information fields

This Linker window can store additional copyright and catalog information, globally assigned User-Defined information, Segments where a song/link is used as part of the Link, and where this information is needed for Association Reports (see notes here). The User-defined information fields can be used as Attributes in Filters, spread goals, Dayparts, and segue bans. A User-defined field is one which does not already exist in GSelector. Information in these fields is not used for scheduling or Goals, but Links can be browsed by User-defined fields, Reports can be generated, and Browse formats designed using User-defined fields. You can name or rename any User-Defined or Custom User Defined field in the Global Settings: User-Defined Fields window. User-defined fields are common to Songs and Links; once defined in any station they are applied to all stations.

Custom User Defined Fields

You can rename any Custom User Defined field in the Global Settings User Defined tab (see the Global Settings User-Defined tab notes) window. When naming fields, you cannot assign the same name to more than one field. Any name that you assign to any of the fields is used in both the Additional information windows in Songs and Links, and is also applied to all stations in your licensee group.

TIP: Information stored in these fields can be displayed in formats used in the Editor window, the Consideration window, and the Song Browse and Link Browse windows. For details, see the notes on designing and assigning Browse formats.

Maximum text for a Text type field is 255 characters. The date format will follow the computers regional settings. Year Date can be omited for current year (MM/DD/YY or MM/DD). The - separator can also be used (DD-MM-YY). Valid strings for True/False are: "True" or "False" (case insensitive), or "0" (false) or "1" (true).

Segments pane

This pane allows the user to add timed Segments of Songs or Links to any Link. Songs and Links are accessed using the Add Segment window, which allows the user to select any active song or link in the Station library. Local copyright laws can oblige a station to make association reports covering music used in Links. See the notes in the Association Reports section for more details. See the Segments notes for full details.
