Global Settings: User-Defined Fields

The Global Settings User Defined tab, accessed from the Tools menu option, allows users to define headings for Additional Information supplementary fields in the User Defined fields and Custom User Defined fields of the Additional Information tab in the Song window for Songs, and in the Link Additional Information tab for Links. User Defined fields can be used in Library searches and included in Export and in Report formats. These fields can be synchronized with Custom Fields in Zetta. See the Zetta Help guide for more details.

User Defined 1-10

User Defined fields are used to store supplementary information that is needed for program information by a station. These fields are not used with any Goals; they are provided to store information. The 10 User Defined fields to the left are text fields. To rename a User Defined field from the default settings of UD1, UD2, etc, simply type in a new value and click the OK button. The next time GSelector is started, these values will be displayed in the Song/Link window Additional tab. Note that when naming fields, you cannot assign the same name to more than one field.

TIP: Information stored in these fields can be displayed in formats used in the Editor window, the Consideration window, Reports, and the Song Browse and Link Browse windows. For details, see the notes on designing and assigning Browse formats.

Custom User Defined 11-99

In GSelector 4.9 has added support for 89 additional User Defined Attributes. These additional attributes can be Text, Date, Number or True/False. These values will be displayed in the Song/Link window Additional tab once configured.

NOTE: The Number fields support positive or negative whole numbers (not fractions) from -2147483648 to 2147483647. Thousands separator is optional.
