Configuring Layouts

Layouts in Zetta allow each user to create a customized layout that meets their needs or makes tasks easier. In Zetta windows can be free floating or docked in the main application window. This topic will discuss the process required to create, save and delete layouts, for more information on docking and undocking of modules, see the Docking section.

Creating New Layouts

To create a new user layout follow these steps:

  1. Click Layout, from the Zetta Application Menu.
  2. Click New Layout.
  3. Enter a Name for the New Layout.
  4. Click OK.

 

Saving Changes to a Layout

Zetta users can save modules to a customized Layout. When these modules are saved, they are saved to the current layout. When the user logs back in, the modules will automatically open with the configured layout assigned to their account.

 

Add to a Layout

To name and save a module to a Layout follow these steps:

  1. Click Layout from the main menu.
  2. Click Layouts from the Layout menu, an additional menu will open.
  3. Select the Layout to make it the Active Layout.
  4. Select one of the available modules from the Modules menu.
  5. Click the Save Layout from the Layout menu.
  6. Any open modules will be moved from the Global section to the Active Layout: <Current Layout> section of the Layout menu.

Remove a Module from Layout

To remove a module from a Layout, follow these steps:

  1. Click Layout from the main menu.
  2. Click Layouts from the Layout menu, an additional menu will open.
  3. Select the desired layout to make it the Active Layout.
  4. Close the module to remove from the layout.
  5. Click the Save Layout from the Layout menu.

 

Reload a Layout

Sometimes there is a need to reload or refresh a saved layout, to get it back to its original saved configuration, due to a module being moved or closed.

To reload a layout from the Layout menu, follow these steps:

  1. Click Layout from the main menu.
  2. Click Layouts from the Layout menu, an additional menu will open.
  3. Click the layout with the check mark next to it to reload or refresh the layout to its original saved configuration.

 

Assign Layout to Keyboard Command Mapping

To assign a saved layout to a Keyboard Command Mapping, follow these steps:

  1. Create a Layout.
  2. Click the Save Layout from the Layout menu.
  3. Select System from the Configuration menu.
  4. Select the desired Keyboard Mapping to change.
  5. Click Add New Command Mapping .
  6. Enter the Shortcut Key.
  7. Select the Task of Zetta.Layout.
  8. Select the Layout to assign in the Settings column.
  9. Click Save to Save the Command Mapping.
  10. Assign the Keyboard Mapping to the Account(s).
