Clock Song Constraints

In Clock Song Constraints, a precise condition - or constraint - can be defined for an individual Clock Song position. It is used to specify that a particular Attribute (including Themes), and a Value for that Attribute, must be either scheduled or avoided for a selected position, and it can also limit a the range of available Songs for this position to a range greater or less than a Scalar Attribute value. This window lists all existing Song Constraints, and can be used to Add, Edit or Delete Song Constraints. Adding or Editing song constraints is done using the Edit Clock Constraints window. There an Attribute is specified, then a Value for that Attribute which instructs GSelector to match, or avoid Scalar Attributes, exceed or undershoot that Attribute value.

Clock Song Constraints, once defined, are applied to positions in individual clocks in the Clock Definition window.

NOTE:  When working with Slotted Categories, defined in the Category Group Importance window, Clock Song Constraints are ignored.

Using Themes with Song Constraints

The Edit Clock Song Constraints window allows you to block or specifically call for Songs by Theme. Note that you can call for Songs by Theme in any position, by selecting a Theme Song position. This facility, however, also allows you to block Songs by a specific Theme in a specific Clock position, and to call for (or block) Songs by Theme when scheduling from a specific Category Group in a Category Group Song position.
