Daylight Savings

Zetta® respects daylight saving based on UTC time.

Spring Ahead

Fall Back

Spring Ahead

In the spring, Zetta will not have a 2:00am hour in the log. Therefore, there is no need for anything to be scheduled in the 2:00am hour for music and traffic.

Fall Back

In the fall, Zetta will add a second 1:00am hour to the log.

The steps to prepare Zetta for a fall-back depend on how the logs are loaded:

  1. If the logs are generates from clocks (and music is not loaded), the generation of the additional 01:00:00 hour will be automatic. The log will show two 01:00:00 hours. The user will only be able to navigate to the first 01:00:00 hour from the log header, but can scroll down to the second 01:00:00 hour to verify it has generated correctly.
  2. If the log is generated using a FULL log load from a flat file, the two 01:00:00 hours will need to be separated with a 1:59:59 ETM. The type of ETM does not matter, but to make sure to not impact log timing, a Hit or Reset is the best option.
  3. If the log is generated using a MERGE log load from a flat file, verify that the ETM times in the load file and the log hours generated from the clocks match. Zetta will load the correct hours based on the time of the matching ETMs.
  4. If a system is integrated with GS, the additional hour of content will be generated automatically. Scrolling down in the log to the second 01:00:00 hour to verify content is the best way to verify that the logs are ready to go.

To ensure that the stations play back correctly and there are no issues, ensure the system is running the latest version of Zetta where possible.
