In this window, you copy a completed schedule from any Station in your GSelector Database to one or more other Target Stations. Where Songs are not active in Target Stations, GSelector will activate the Songs, allocating them to the Default Category for that Station, and apply the station specific attributes of the source element to the target element. The window also allows selective Song Category Groups and Link Category copying. You can only Copy a Schedule from a GSelector Station with an On-Air license . See the On-Air notes in the Stations window topic.
In your Source Station, click the Scheduler and then the Copy Schedule tab. This illustration is reduced in scale to better fit in the help window.

Run Multi Station Traffic Integration After Copy
The Copy window copies information one way, from this station or any other station in the database to one or more Target Stations.
Click the drop down arrow to access a full list of Stations in your database. This process allows you to, for example, import a schedule from another Station to your current Station. GSelector stores the station selections you make in this window and reuses them the next time you work in the window. The selections are saved per source station and persist through closing and restarting GSelector until you change them again.
Note: If S3 is enabled and the user is copying a schedule from a subscriber station, if there is not an existing schedule, the copy schedule will try to pull the log from the S3 publisher.
All available Target Stations are listed in the Target Stations pane. Check one or more Stations to make those Stations Target Stations for this copy schedule process. Use the Select All option to the left to select all the stations in the list, click the Select All again to deselect all the stations. The Copy processes is only one way, from a Source Station into one or more Target Stations. When a Target Station is selected, the Copy button is activated. A Copy cannot be performed without selecting one or more Target Stations.
When you open the Copy Schedule window, the Dates and Times displayed in the Source Station fields are for the first Hour (or the first Broadcast Start Hour if not Midnight), of the Last Scheduled day, whether fully or partly scheduled, for the current station. You can specify any Source Station, and then set a date and time range to copy. After selecting the From Date and Time and the Thru Date and Time the user can select how to interpret the range using the Wrap, Block or Hour Grid options.
Wrap: GSelector will consider all hours starting at the From Date and Time thru the Thru Date and Time.
Block: GSelector will consider the From and Thru times as a block of time within each date within the range. An example using a From date of 1/1/2011 and a From Time of 10:00am with a Thru Date of 1/17/2011 and a Thru Time of 2:00pm, GSelector will include the 10:00 AM through the 2:00 PM hours within each date from January 1, 2011 through and including January 17, 2011.
Hour Grid: The user will select an Hour Grid from a drop-down list. When the Grid Inclusion option is selected the hours that are selected in the Hour Grid will be the only hours included for the Date and Time range specified. If the Grid Exclusion is selected the hours in the Hour Grid will be excluded for the Date and Time Range selected. The user can also Import an Hour Grid from another station, in the database, when selecting the Grid Inclusion or Grid Exclusion options.
The default Target Date and Time is the first hour (or the first Broadcast Start Hour of the Source station if not Midnight), of the first completely unscheduled Day, but you can select a different value here as well. The end time is determined by the length of the Source station date and time range using the default Wrap option to interpret the range.
By default the time range begins at the start of the From hour and finishes at the end of the Thru hour. Optionally, the time granularity can be changed using the Time Granularity of Scheduling and Reports option, in the Miscellaneous tab of the Setup | Station | Features window, to select the time up to the Minute or Second.
Note: that there are restrictions when copying to a Target Station that is interfaced with NexGen. See the notes on Copying Schedules with NexGen.
Use the Exclude drop-down to select the Song Category Groups, Link Categories and other entry types to exclude from the copied schedule.
Note: The Categories excluded from the copy process refers to scheduled positions, not unscheduled positions. An unscheduled position for an excluded category will be duplicated. Only scheduled positions will be excluded.
Note: When Copying Schedule with Duplicate the schedule is post-processed to re-schedule flyin links. Therefore, when copying to the same station, you should delete flyin related links (linker|related links|flyin) before performing the copy otherwise links will be flown in again. If Spot Blocks or Local Blocks are excluded, any interstitials in the spot block or local block with be included if the Category for the interstitial is included.
The two radio buttons below the Source and Target Dates pane allow you to Duplicate or Repeat Songs in the schedule.
Select the Duplicate option to completely replace the Target schedule with the contents of the Source schedule. This will copy all material in the schedule: songs, links and breaks. When copying to the Target Schedule, GSelector will attempt to match all the Links and Breaks to those in the Target Station. If no exact title match exists, the item is added to the Target Station.
Select the Repeat option, to copy Songs and Links out to the existing Clock Structure in the Target Schedule. The first Song in the Source schedule is copied to the first Song position (regardless of category) in the Target schedule, then the second, and so on until all Song positions in the Target schedule hour are filled, or the Source schedule hour Song positions are exhausted. The same process is applied to Links. If there are not enough Songs or Links in the Source station schedule hour, existing Target schedule positions are retained (scheduled or not); if there are too many Songs or Links to fit in the Target schedule hour, surplus Source schedule Songs and Links for that hour are not copied.
The Copy Chain and other Clock Data option is only enabled if Repeat is selected. When the Copy Chain and other Clock Data option is selected GSelector will copy the clock data in the schedule such as Chain, Timing, Skip, External, Fixed, and Lock Level setting to the target station when the schedule is copied. This setting is persisted each time the copy clock option is used.
NOTE: When activating a song in another Station, if the Song's Category Short Name exists in the Target Station, the Song is activated in that Category. If not, the Default Category is used.
When the Run Multi Station Traffic Integration After Copy option is checked, after copying the schedule, GSelector will run Linker | Traffic | Multi Station for the target stations for same date/hour range for which the schedule is copied. Traffic will be integrated for each station where Integrate is checked in the Integrate tab, and the Scheduler will be run if Schedule after Integration is also checked in the Integrate tab.
Use the Copy button to start the copy process. When a Target Station is selected, the Copy button is activated. A Copy cannot be performed without selecting one or more Target Stations.
The process described
Selecting Target Stations
Duplicating a Schedule or Repeating Songs only in the Target Station
Activated Songs and Default Categories in Target Stations
Note: There are restrictions when copying to a Target Station that is interfaced with NexGen. See the notes on Copying Schedules with NexGen.
When you copy a schedule from one Station to another, some songs in the Source Station may be Inactive in the Target Station. When these songs are copied to a Station where they are activated and placed in the Default Category that you specify, applying the station specific attributes of the source element to the target element. See the notes here for more details.
If you copy over a schedule to multiple Stations, all Stations are listed in the pane. Click on any Station to display the activated songs in that Station. The songs in the pane can be sorted by Title or Artist for each Target Station, in ascending or descending order.
Many programmers define a category with light or even no demand, and then re-evaluate the new songs in the Target Station, assigning them to other categories for regular scheduling. Other programmers simply copy a schedule over with no plan to generate a schedule in the Target Station.
Special provisions apply when copying schedules to or from GSelector stations integrated with NexGen. The default Target Date and Hour is, as before, the next completely unscheduled date and hour in the target Station database, and you can edit this, as before. However, when copying to a NexGen station, you will not be able to specify any date and hour in the past, the current date and hour, or the next hour after the current date and hour.
